Milk kefir is a fermented beverage, filled with prebiotics, probiotics, postbiotics and other ingredients. Kefir is made by leaving special reusable living cultures, called kefir grains, in milk to ferment for 24 hours.

Make your own Kefir at home using these grains.

Amount: 1 Teaspoon, approximately.

How to Make Milk Kefir:

1- Put 1tsp of kefir grains in a glass jar.

2- Add a half liter (or a little less) of milk, leaving about 5cm for a cloth-covered jar.

3- Leave in the kitchen for 18-24 hours to ferment. It’s turned to kefir when the milk has thickened.

4- Strain the grains in a plastic strainer collecting the Kefir. The grains will be used to referment and make Kefir again (repeat steps 1-3)

5- Put the collected Kefir in another bottle/container (with or without fruits/herbs to taste) then either leave in the kitchen to ferment more for a few hours before placing it in the fridge, or place it in the fridge to ferment there to taste.
